The Palmyra Township Board of Trustees hold regular meetings on the second Tuesday at 7:00pm and the fourth Tuesday at 9:30am every month, at the Fire Station Meeting Room, 3956 State Route 225. All regular, special and emergency meetings are open to the public.
Palmyra Park is just one fine example of the township’s community spirit. Palmyra Trustees bought the property, and the public were asked to help develop it in 2007. A small group of local citizens got together and did this using no taxpayer funds. A special Thank You to the James Sanders’ family for using their company and personal resources to develop the park.
A time capsule was placed in the park during the Palmyra Bicentennial, which holds items provided by the residents themselves.
We have a lovely gazebo for the public enjoyment or for possible photo opportunities, a playground area, and baseball/softball fields. We offer plenty of parking, lovely views, plants, and even a ritual bridge sponsored by the Girl Scouts. A memorial program has been set in place for anyone wishing to purchase a bench or tree in a loved one’s memory.
The most recent additions include picnic tables and the start of a walking trail. We hope to add more things and to continue evolving as a Park.
