The Palmyra Zoning Commission held their monthly meeting on August 17, 2016, at the Palmyra Fire Station. In attendance were Chairman Bill Rohn, Jacob Haser, Karen Whitney, and Kim Spencer. Sandy Nutter was excused.

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.

Minutes of the May & June meeting were read and approved. A motion to accept was made by Bill, 2nd by Jake, roll call vote was unanimous.

Chairman’s report

Bill made a motion the Zoning Commission be in recess until we have a quorum. Jake 2nd it and it was unanimous approved.

Bill Rohn resigned from being the Zoning Chairman, he turned in his resignation to Kathy (the fiscal officer)

No zoning report

A motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. was made by Bill, 2nd by Karen. Roll call vote was taken and unanimous.

The Palmyra Zoning Commission held their monthly meeting on June 15, 2016 at the Palmyra Fire Station. In attendance were Chairman Bill Rohn, Jake Haser, Karen Whitney, Sandy Nutter and Kim Spencer were excused.

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m.

The minutes from May’s meeting were tabled until the next meeting when Kim the secretary would be there.

Chairman’s Report

Bill made a motion to accept Section 401 as altered:

R-1: same

R-2: Residential in a subdivision

R-3: Residential in a subdivision cluster-all single family homes

B-1: Business and/or commercial district

I-1: same

It was seconded by Karen, and unanimous approved.

Bill made a motion to change Section 410C to read:

No signs or billboards shall be permitted, except customary professional signs no larger than 2 square feet. It was seconded by Jake and unanimous approved.

Bill made a motion to accept small solar and wind energy systems to stay as is. It was seconded by Karen and unanimous approved.

The Zoning Committee is to review up to section 2.8 in the Zoning Book and add or delete as needed and the Board will compare and discuss at the next meeting.

The Palmyra Zoning Commission held their monthly meeting on February 17, 2016, at the Palmyra Fire Station. In attendance were Chairman Bill Rohn, Jacob Haser, Karen Whitney and Kim Spencer. Sandy Nutter was excused.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

We had three guest that were interested in joining the Zoning Commission Board. Bill answered all there questions and concerns and told them to turn in a resume to the Board of Trustee’s if they were interested in becoming members of the Board of Zoning,

Bill made a motion to accept the January 2016 minutes as read, it was 2nd by Karen and unanimously approved.

New Business

Board members are to review in the Zoning Book, commercial, industry, and residential. Single, duplex and multifamily housing.

Zoning Commission meeting Jan 20 2016

The Palmyra Zoning Commission held their monthly meeting on January 20, 2016 at the Palmyra Fire Station.

The meeting was cancelled, due to not meeting a quorum. We only had two Board Members attend.
